There’s a song – wordless;
It haunts me at odd hours,
And brings tears to my eyes;
It wrestles reason to the ground,
And dances all over my emotions;
It takes my frustrations,
And makes them of no consequence;
Then it sets its sights on my fears,
And chases them down with melodic whips;
It settles down on my doubts,
And wears them out and down to dust;
It lingers on after I wake,
Less overpowering, falteringly subtle;
Real, but just a little out of reach.
I’ll liken the memory of it to lazy flames,
Dancing slowing to tunes I can not make out;
It promises to get lively though,
If I bring some fuel and give it some attention.
The Power of a Good Song….

Poetry at its finest.
There are songs so powerful to evoke such feelings & leave behind such impact.
So will you bring the fuel?

Thanks Cyn. About the fuel, definitely…the moment I find it. Thanks for stopping by.
