The sound my heart makes when it breaks in repentance;
The echoes that follow my steps as I come into Your presence;
The clash when my knees hit the ground in reverence;
Every beat of my heart, reminding me of Your goodness;
In Your presence, I do not shout to be heard, but to be felt.
In the depths of the night when Your goodness dawns on me,
Filling me with the pressing need,
To shout so loud I can feel my eardrums quiver.
All of creation declares the glory of God;
Without words they speak;
Even stationary they show;
Just by being, they proclaim.
On a day such as this, the Saviour was born;
On a starry night, in a humble manger.
Was it a silent night, and did His star shine bright?
It was a day like any other, it was a day unlike any other.
In the presence of the Lord is fullness of joy;
Indeed, in His house we find gladness and liberty;
We gather before the throne of the Almighty;
And bow in worship, not in shame to our Liberator;
With purpose, and the aim to glorify the Creator.
In solemn silence, I wait and listen to hear You speak;
With intellectual sobriety, I consider Your words as they bring me wisdom;
In solemn silence, and eager patience, I wait for the manifestation of Your miracles;
In solemn silence, where Your spirit empowers, I bear to overcome;
In solemn silence, Your intentions are made known – loud and clear;
The lines have been drawn,
And suddenly, sides must be taken.
In realms seen and unseen battles are undertaken.
In places dark and murky a light has shown.
Resolutions must be made in the plains of inconsistencies.
